Thank you to the Eli’s Team for making the Annual Holiday Dinner that Eli’s hosts for the Sunshine Activity Center such a great success. We have a long and very special partnership with the Sunshine Center and this was the best Holiday Event ever—in attendance and enthusiasm. Truly Priceless. Every member of the Center received a personal gift from Santa and an Eli’s Apple Cobbler to take home. Thank you to Diana, our Event Chair and to the Eli’s Team that made the evening so special. We had 100% participation from the Café Team and Customer Service, including all our Interns. Participating from Eli’s was Kathy and Jeff, her husband (who secured Santa), Antonio, Diana, Juana, Angelica, Joselyn, Elizabeth, Rose, Veronica, Lindsey, Katelyn, Tom, Tommy, Donna, Mary, Maria, Elsa, Juanita, Mike, Ivan and Margaret.

Opening of the Illinois Center for Urban Agricultural Education at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences is Highlighted in Illinois Ag Ed
All of us at Eli’s Cheesecake are very proud of our long time support and partnership with the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences. A major step in the development of the programs at the school was the opening of the Illinois Center for Urban Agricultural Education at CHSAS, a program of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and headed by Corey Flournoy.
We were delighted to see the opening of the Center profiled in Illinois Ag Ed, a publication of the College of Agriculture, Consumer & Environmental Sciences.
This Saturday, September 15, Eli’s Cheesecake will be attending and supporting the 21st Annual Green Tie Ball. The gala, founded in 1992, raises funds each year for Chicago Gateway Green’s Expressway Partnership Program, which creates and maintains beautiful, sustainable landscapes along Chicago’s major expressways. One of Chicago’s best-known charity events, the Green Tie Ball has had over 2,000 attendees last year; celebrities such as Valerie Warner, Ryan Chiaverini, and Pete Wentz; and sponsors such as Office Max, Rivers Casino, Goose Island, Rosebud Restaurants, and Chicago Sun-Times. Eli’s Cheesecake’s newest flavors will be served at the Ball, including Hot Chocolate with Salted Caramel, Ricotta with gluten free ingredients and Cinnamon Streusel Roll Cheesecake. For National Cheesecake Day 2012, Eli’s was honored by a visit from Megan Ervin, Miss Illinois! She celebrated by putting her culinary skills to the test and decorating her own Eli’s Cheesecake with the help of Eli’s pastry chefs.
In honor of Megan’s great work and commitment to helping our community, Eli’s announced that a portion of all proceeds of all sales made on National Cheesecake Day would be donated to Children’s Miracle Network.
Eli’s was also proud to present a $1,000 donation to Children’s Miracle Network on Megan’s behalf.
Megan generously donated her time to help the Eli’s team and the Eli’s slice mascot hand out over 1,000 FREE cheesecake slices around Chicago to celebrate National Cheesecake Day. They rode around town in the Cheesecake Mobile, a 1928 Ford delivery truck modified to store a truckload of cheesecake slices! The group stopped at important landmarks in Chicago like the Seneca Park/Eli Schulman Playground (located across from the new Children’s Memorial Hospital), and the Prudential Building. The Eli’s team also posted surprise stops on Twitter and Facebook so our fans could get in on the fun and enjoy a free slice of Eli’s.
Fans who aren’t lucky enough to live in Chicago were able to enjoy free shipping on a different delicious flavor each hour on elicheesecake.com.
