Eli’s & Wright College’s Farmers Market is back again for the summer! Every Thursday from June 14 until October 25, the Farmers Market will be at Eli’s Cheesecake World from 7am until 1pm. A variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from Nichol’s Farm, Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences’ Farm Stand, Cooper Farm, and more will be here! The Farmers Market also includes vibrant flowers, hand crafts, artisan breads, exciting spices, books, informational lectures and Eli’s famous grilled lunches. Different special events, activities, and speakers will be at each Market day, so check out our Facebook page and events flyer for more information. Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences & Vaughn High School Students at the Eli’s Cheesecake/Wright College Farmers Market
Eli’s is very proud of our long term partnership with the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences and Vaughn High School.
For our Thursday Farmers Market, we were delighted to have special needs students from both schools participating in the Market. This is just one more example of how programs in food, agriculture and science can benefit a wide range of students.
Students from Vaughn brought crafts celebrating the Bears first game this Sunday and students from CHSAS brought produce from the farm at the school as well as bottles of the honey harvested by the students and used in our dessserts.
On Thursday June 16th, Eli’s Cheesecake hosted a luncheon meeting for the Portage Park Chamber of Commerce. Joining in the Celebration were three Alderman from the Northwest side: Alderman Tim Cullerton of the 38th Ward, Alderman Nick Sposato of the 36th Ward and Alderman Mary O’Connor of the 41st Ward.

At Eli’s Cheesecake, we are fortunate to host a Thursday Farmers Market in our parking lot from mid-June through the end of August. Each week, Nichols Farms & Orchards brings us a most impressive assortment of locally grown vegetables and fruits. Today was a most special day as this is the peak of the apple season–with over 50 varieties available at the Market.
In celebration of the Apple Harvest, Eli’s distributed apples to all associates—in recognition of the wonderful local agriculture in Illinois and neighboring states.
