Eli’s Cheesecake Is Keeping Busy This Sunday

Eli’s Cheesecake will be busy this Sunday with three different events throughout the day.  It all starts with Chicago’s Polar Plunge at North Avenue Beach.  Over 2,000 participants will be taking an icy dive into Lake Michigan to benefit Special Olympics in Chicago.  Jimmy Fallon has accepted the mayor’s challenge to join in the festivities and will be joining in the freezing fun.  Eli’s will be serving up cheesecake slices to participants during the event.  For more information, please click here.  Next, Eli’s will be heading over to O’Brien’s on Wells Street for our Irish Cheesecake Baking Competition.  The winner will receive a year’s supply of Eli’s Cheesecake (one per month) and will have their winning cheesecake sold at the Eli’s Cheesecake Bakery Cafe all month long.  Registration for this event is still open.  Click here for details.  Finally, Eli’s Cheesecake will suit up for Hollywood on State at the Gene Siskel Film Center.  Eli’s will be serving guests prior to the Academy Awards telecast at 7:30pm.  Tickets for the event are still available and can be purchased here.  We hope to see you at one of our events this Sunday!

Eli’s Serves Up Dinner at the Chicago Help Initiative

Last night, a few members of the Eli’s Cheesecake family helped serve dinner at the Chicago Help Initiative.  Eli’s Cheesecake was also recognized as a sponsor for the Chicago Help Initiative dinners for the past 13 years.  The Award of Merit was presented by Jacqueline Hayes, the founder of HELP; Mary Ann Rose, chairman of the Magnificent Mile Association; 2nd Ward alderman Bob Fioretti; and John Chikow, president of the Magnificent Mile Association.  Eli’s Cheesecake is honored to be a part of the amazing work of the Chicago Help Initiative.  Check out some photos from the event below.

Eli’s Celebrates Chicago’s 177th Birthday

Next Tuesday, Chicago will be celebrating its 177th birthday.  This year, Chicago’s big day coincides with Fat Tuesday, so a Mardi Gras-themed party seems appropriate.  The big celebration will kick off at 10:30am in Chicago’s Daley Plaza.  Food trucks will be cycling in and out of the event throughout the day and music will be filling the plaza.  Of course, no birthday is complete without the cake.  Eli’s Cheesecake will be providing a city-sized birthday cake for the occasion and offering free slices to visitors.  Be sure to stop by to help wish Chicago a happy birthday!  To learn more about the event, click here.
