Eli’s Honors Chicago Sports’ Past and Present

Next week, Eli’s will be on hand to celebrate the grand opening of the Chicago Sports Museum in Chicago’s Water Tower Place.  The museum offers visitors an interactive experience through the world of Chicago sports.  They can compare their skills to those of sports legends including NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen and Cubs superstar Kerry Wood.  There’s even an interactive trivia game to test visitors’ sports knowledge.  After all the fun in the museum, guests can sit for lunch at Harry Caray’s 7th Inning Stretch.  This upscale sports bar is a foodie paradise for sports fans.  Eli’s Cheesecake will be baking up an extra-large cheesecake for the occasion.  For more information on the museum and the restaurant, click here.

Eli’s Dishes Out Dessert at Chowdah Fest 2014

Every year around this time, the Columbia Yacht Club of Chicago fills up an anchored ship and holds a competition to find the best chowder in the Midwest.  This year, on March 31st, Chowdah Fest will return with 14 chefs from across the city competing to earn the creamy and delicious title of best chowder.  Eli’s Cheesecake is a proud sponsor of the event and will be offering attendees a proper end to their meal with our famous cheesecake.  All proceeds from the event go toward youth sailing programs in the city.  For more information on the event or to buy tickets, click here.  We hope to see you in a couple weeks!

Eli’s Welcomes Spring and Celebrates Farmers

This past weekend, Eli’s attended two different events in Chicago.  First, Eli’s attended a Good Food Festival called Localicious at the UIC Pavilion.  The event celebrated local farmers who grow our food and the local chefs that transform it into something amazing.  Eli’s was on-hand to offer our bite-size cuties to those in attendance.  Eli’s second stop was at the opening night of the Chicago Flower and Garden Show to offer some samples of our Honey Mediterranean Cheesecake.  Bob Mariano, the owner of Mariano’s grocery stores, stopped by for a slice and took a picture with the Eli’s Cheesecake crew.  If you missed the Chicago Flower and Garden Show this weekend, you still have plenty of time to stop in and see everything the show has to offer.  Eli’s Cheesecake’s own Laurel Boger will be conducting a cooking demo this Thursday, March 20th at 6:30pm, featuring our ricotta cheesecake.  For more information on the show, or to purchase tickets, click here.

Eli’s Cheesecake Gets a Green Thumbs Up at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show

Next Friday, Eli’s will be at the opening night of the Chicago Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier.  The event, entitled Evening in Bloom, gives guests a first-look at the show before it opens to the public the following day.  Select Chicago restaurants, including Eli’s Cheesecake, will be providing food for the event.  Eli’s will be featuring Honey Mediterranean Cheesecake, which uses honey harvested by students at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences. To learn more about Eli’s honey, please click here and for more information on Evening in Bloom, click here.  All proceeds from the event benefit local charities, including the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago.  The Chicago Flower and Garden Show opens to the public the next morning at 10:00 am and Eli’s Cheesecake’s own Executive Chef Laurel Boger will be on hand Thursday, March 20th, with an Eli’s Cheesecake demonstration at 6:30 pm.  Eli’s Cheesecake is a proud sponsor of the Chicago Flower and Garden Show.  For tickets and more information on the show, click here.
