Tomorrow night, June 13th, the Chicago Help Initiative (CHI) is hosting it’s annual fundraising benefit. The CHI depends on donations to fund its programs. The annual fundraiser is a major source of donations. CHI provides meals and social services to the homeless, underprivileged and today’s jobless citizens of the near North Side of Chicago. The Chicago Help Initiative is a consortium of business, residential, religious, social service, institutional and volunteer leaders striving to promote an atmosphere of dignity and compassion toward those in need by providing access to food, health services, shelter and employment. CHI works to educate local businesses and residents to help ease the plight of the homeless, disadvantaged and out of work individuals and improve their well-being, self esteem and productivity.
Marc Schulman, President of Eli’s Cheesecake, is being awarded for his generosity. Over the last thirteen years, Eli’s has provided meals and volunteers to help CHI serve the innumerable homeless and struggling Chicagoans it helps. The Eli’s Cheesecake Company is a proud supporter of the Chicago Help Initiative and will continue it’s efforts to reach out to the community in any way we can.
