Eli’s Cheesecake Proud to Support the 2009 St. Patrick’s Day Queen’s Contest

One of our longest traditions at Eli’s Cheesecake is supporting the St. Patrick’s Day Queens Contest. 2009 marks the 54th year of the Parade and over 20 years since our associate, Rita Tierney, introduced Eli’s to the Contest. Eli’s Maureen Schulman serves a a judge for the Contest; Eli’s Desserts are distributed to all the guests; and the Queen and her Court each take home an Eli’s Cheesecake.

Julie Popp is pleasantly suprised as she is named as the 2009 St. Patrick’s Day Queen. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Chicago is Saturday, March14th, 2009.

Eli’s Maureen Schulman is one of the distinguished judges for the St. Patrick’s Day Queen’s Contest. With over 130 contestants in the Contest held at Plumber’s Hall, it is a difficult decision to name the Queen and the five members of her Court. Shortly after the naming of Julie Popp as the 2009 Queen and her Court, Eli’s Marc and Maureen Schulman present Eli’s Cheesecakes to the deserving contest winners.
