Today was a great way to kick off the 2004 season for the Eli’s/Wright
Farmers Market. Our farmers were in place in 7am to welcome the early shoppers
and bakers on their way to work. For early shoppers, we offer the best deal in
town. Spend $5 at our market and get a free continental breakfast between 7 and
9. We had many people take advantage of this offer and then we hosted a meeting
our neighborhod business group, the Portage Park Chamber of Commerce. At 11am we
offered our weekly grilled lunch on the patio followed by a performance of the
Happiness Club,a group housed at Wright and sponsored by Eli’s. All around it
was a great day and a perfect way to start the Farmers Market Season. We have
Farmers Markets weekly on Thursday through the middle of September so plan a
trip to experience a summer day at Eli’s Farmers Market.
