National Cheesecake Day, this year on Friday, July 30th, is a big holiday at
Eli’s. In fact, we celebrate it over two days, starting on July 30th.

This year we had some special help as our home town airline, Ted, part of
United Airlines, helped us get share more free Eli’s Cheesecake than ever by
calling in the Ted Brand Ambassadors. On Thursday and Friday, we were at key
locations in Chicago and the suburbs bringing joy to Elli’s and Ted fans with a
gift of a slice of Eli’s Cheesecake.

It was also a great way for us to say thank you to Chicago for making us the
number one food item and dessert at the 2004 Taste of Chicago–selling over
160,000 slices of Eli’s Cheesecake in the ten days.

We started the day with Ted in front of Eli’s the Place for Steak serving
Eli’s Cheesecake as a breakfast treat, went across the street from Eli’s to the
Eli Schulman Playground at Seneca Park and its next door neighbor, the historic
Engine Company 98, and then shared the treats on Michigan Avenue.

Next Ted joined us with the Eli’s Team at Eli’s Cheesecake World for the
Farmer’s Market. It was a great day with the Department of Aviation bringing out
its Community Outreach program, lots of visitors to the Farmer’s Market and
Eli’s Cafe and lot of people coming for free Eli’s Cheesecake.

We finished the day at the Jefferson Park CTA Station welcoming our neighbors
home with an afternoon Eli’s treat. On Friday, we continued with sampling in
Barrington, Hinsdale and Oak Brook. A great way to start the weekend.
