We have favorite days at Eli’s–the Taste of Chicago, where Eli’s Cheesecake
made its debut; the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival in November, of which I was
the founding chairman; and the Eli’s Cheesesecake Festival.

We had our first Eli’s Cheesecake in October of 1996 when we opened Eli’s
Cheesecake World on World Food Day. Check out our web site for the Festival at
www.cheesecakefestival.com to
see what partners and events we have added.

Starting with a fund raiser on Friday, September 17th for our neighbor, New
Horizons Center for the Developmentally Disabled, and continuing through the
weekend, the Festival celebrates all the great things about Eli’s Cheesecake and
Chicago. You can help New Horizons by bidding on items like two first class
tickets on United Airlines to Hawaii while getting a free slice of Eli’s
Cheesecake and a cup of Starbucks Coffee for bringing in canned food for the
Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Meanwhile there is activity all day long on several stages, Chef’s Demos,
Eli’s Cheesecake Sampling around the campus, a classic car show on Sunday and
great Eli’s food.

Performances range from Greg Raposo and Radio Disney to a special sampling of
the World Music Festival featuring the Mamadou
Diabate Ensemble.

This is definitely worth planning a trip to Chicago and to
Eli’s. Let us know if you need any suggestions for hotels or other activities
while you are in Chicago.
