Friday, June 27th marked the begining of the 28th Annual Taste of Chicago. We were honored to have a secial visitor to our booth at Taste by United States Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer.
Secretary Schafer came to Chicago to visit our partner, the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, Invited by famed agricultural broadcaster, Orion Samuelson, to deliver the 2008 Commencement Address at the school, Schafer was unable to make that date but made the visit to CHSAS a priority and came on the day that Taste of Chicago started.
After touring the school and meeting a number of students and supporters, Schafer toured the Taste of Chicago with Dr. Terry Mason, another supporter of CHSAS and the head of the Chicago Board of Health.
