It was a great honor for all of us at Eli’s Cheesecake to create
the 171st birthday cake for the City of Chicago.

It was on March 4th, 1837 that Chicago was incorporated as a
City at that time with a population of several thousand. Later that Spring, 700
votes were cast as William Ogden was elected the first Mayor of Chicago
defeating John Kinzie.

We were delighted to join Mayor Richard M. Daley at the Chicago
History Museum for the Birthday Party celebrating Chicagoans with the birthday
of March 4th.
