One question that we get frequently is “what happens to all your big cakes?” Well, we either serve them at the event or donate them to a local charity. Last month, we created the special cheesecake pictured below for the Taste of Chicago Press Preview. Eli’s Pastry Chef and Marketing Manager, Sarah Zupancic, finished off the 150 lb. cheesecake with cherries made out of marzipan.

That afternoon, we delivered the cake to the Sisters, students and residents of St. Mary of Providence, which is dedicated to serving the needs of the developmentally disabled. It makes all of us at Eli’s Cheesecake feel very good to create joy and smiles from our creations.
