Thanks to Mayor Daley, Chicago has been named as one of the most bicycle friendly cities in the country. The culmination of the bike year in Chicago was this past Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend when the Outer Drive on Chicago’s Lakefront from 57th Street South to Hollywood was closed to auto traffic and into a giant bike path.

I participated for the first time, with our daughter, Elana, and really enjoyed the ability to weave around bikes and not cars, was just thrilling. We joined over 15,000 Chicagoans who enjoyed this most perfect day of the year.

If you are in Chicago on Sunday, June 19th, we look forward to you participating in our historic first ever Eli’s Cheesecake Father’s Day Bike sponsored by Wright College and Rudy’s Bike Shop. There is no charge to participate in this event and we look forward to a great family day beginning and ending at Eli’s Cheesecake World.

The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation does a great job organizing Bike the Drive and bike events throughout the year.

Chicagoans love to ride their bikes.

How exciting for over 15,000 people to pass through the starting gate.

Don’t miss participating in the first annual Eli’s Cheesecake Father’s
Day Bike Ride
