Samuelson Leads Ag Leadership Foundation

Orion Samuelson of Chicago was elected chairman of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation during the organization’s annual meeting in Chicago. Orion is heard on WGN Radio, where he
has served as Agricultural Services Director since 1960. He is seen weekly on “This Week In AgriBusiness” on RFD TV on Direct TV and DISH Channel Network.
Other newly elected officers of the IALF Board of Directors are Dan Kelley, GROWMARK, Inc., vice chairman; Siamak Mirhakimi, Caterpillar Inc.,
secretary; and Porter Martin, Martin, Goodrich & Associates, Inc., treasurer.
Other members of the IALF Board of Directors include Martin Andreas, Archer Daniels Midland Company(retired); Gary Baise, Kilpatrick Stockton LLP.; Terry Duffy, Chicago Mercantile Exchange; Lynette Marshall, University of Iowa Foundation; Kenneth McMillan, Monmouth College; Enid Schlipf, Schlipf Farms, Inc.; Marc Schulman, Eli’s Cheesecake Company; Ron Warfield, Warfield Farm; and Kim Morton, IALA president.
A new board member Marc Schulman, President of Eli’s Cheesecake Company was also inducted to the IALF Board during the annual meeting.
The Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1981. Purpose of the foundation is to administer the Illinois Agricultural Leadership
Program which develops knowledgeable and effective spokespersons to become policy and decision makers for the agricultural industry.
