From its beginning fifteen years ago, Eli’s Cheesecake has been involved in actively supporting the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, now for the first time presented by the Harris Bank.
The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival has become Chicago’s and one of the nation’s favorite ways to welcome the holidays because it offers activities all day along the Magnificent Mile with the opportunity for participants to enjoy the restaurants, store and hotels of the District.
One tradition that Eli’s Cheesecake has created during the Lights Festival is complimentary cheesecake decorating at the Winter Walk at Tribune Tower in partnership with the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences and the opportunity to support the Greater Chicago Food Depository with a donation of canned foods and cash with a gift from Eli’s as a thank you.
We are delighted that we can offer a complimentary activity for families while allowing them to help reduce hunger in Chicago.
Eli’s maintains a year long partnership with the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences which is the only public high school in Illinois located on a working farm. CHSAS was just profiled in the New York Times as being one of the leading urban schools in the country that has introduced agricultural education. We thank all of the CHSAS students who helped families decorate cheesecakes at the event.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository had a team of outstanding volunteers to accept food and cash donations at the event. Eli’s is proud of its partnership with the GCFD which extends throughout the year and which includes
our Annual Eli’s Cheesecake Festival.
Eli’s had its team of professionals on site at the Winter Walk: Troy, Sarah, Brian and Mark.
Eli’s Cheesecake decorating (and eating) has become a great family tradition of the Winter Walk at the Lights Festival.
The Eli’s Cheesecake Big Slice meets the NOGGELERS from Lucerne, Switzerland. The NOGGELERS have become a favorite of the Lights Festival. They performed at the Winter Walk, were part of the Procession and then held a
concert at Millennium Park on Sunday.
