Eli’s Cheesecake is delighted to be a Founding Sponsor of Exchange City Chicago, an innovative 25,000 square foot, state of the art virtual city in Chicago’s River North Neighborhood, that will reach over over 30,000 Chicago area elementary students with an innovative 8 week curriculum that culminates with a one day visit to Chicago’s newest “city within a City.

Eli’s was recruited for this program by leading entrepreneur, Howard Tullman, Exchange City Chicago Chairman, who is also the the President of Kendall College, located just one block south of the Exchange City Facility. In sponsoring the snack shop and providing our famous desserts for sale as part of the Exchange City experience, Eli’s joins other Chicago institutions, the LaSalle Bank, WTTW, the CTA, Commonwealth Edison, and the Cubs and White Sox, to name a few, that are sponsoring Exchange City.

It was our pleasure to create a special Exchange City Cheesecake in honor of the event and to share the day with the co-founders of Experiencia-World, Dr. Connie Campbell and Elaine Mondschein.

Exchange City was opened during Chicago’s MoneySmart Week, a program of the Federal Reserve Bank, to stress the importance and educational benefits of teaching money management and basic business skills to young people. Special guest, Michael Moskow, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (center) is joined by LaSalle Bank CEO and Chicago Public School Board Member, Norm Bobins, and Eli’s Marc Schulman.

Eli’s Debbie Marchok, Mary Gale and Sarah Zupancic worked to give students visiting the Eli’s Snack Shop at Exchange City Chicago the same quality experience that they would receive on a tour of Eli’s Cheesecake World.
