Eli Schulman believed baking was an art. So when he created the very first Eli’s Cheesecake as the signature dessert for his award-winning restaurant, Eli’s the Place for Steak, a legend in Chicago for 39 years, his customers proclaimed it “Chicago’s Finest.” With the same care and dedication as Eli himself, the Eli’s Cheesecake Company, a family owned business, has been baking up cheesecakes since 1980. Each cheesecake is still handmade and decorated at Eli’s Cheesecake World, our bakery located on Chicago’s northwest side.

Although Eli’s has grown over the past 29 years, we still take our time to bake the highest quality desserts by slow baking in small batches, and allow the finest ingredients to develop to their optimum flavors – the key to achieving Eli’s unique taste and texture. Eli’s is proud to support its community, local farmers and small businesses. Our desserts are handmade with the finest ingredients like cultured cream cheese and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and hand decorated by pastry artists. Eli’s desserts are certified Kosher.

Eli’s Corporate Office, Bakery, Retail Store and Café is located on the northwest side of the city of Chicago at 6701 Forest Preserve Drive (at the corner of Forest Preserve Drive and Montrose). The hours of operation are: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 11am-5pm.
