Farmers Market returns

Farmers markets have returned to Eli’s Cheesecake World, 6701 W. Forest Preserve Drive, in Chicago. Co-sponsored by Wright College and Eli’s, the markets bring fresh produce, gourmet barbecue lunches on the lawn and free themed events to the grounds at Eli’s each Thursday from June 19 to Oct. 30.

Chad Nichols rose at 2 a.m. June 19 to bring his family’s produce from Nichols Farm & Orchard, in Marengo, to the opening day market. He greeted familiar customers and distributed out samples of his sugar snap peas.
