Second Day of Groundhog Job Shadow with students from CHSAS

Each CHSAS student had the opportunity to scale and mix their own Eli’s Cheesecake.

Over half of the cheesecakes baked at Eli’s are decorated. Here our Job Shadow students decorate their own cakes.

Each cake was a work of art!

Our Job Shadow students were able to meet with a group of Eli’s leaders from a cross section of areas. Here Boris Bajlovic explains what is involved in selling Eli’s internationally.

Grilled Lunch and Entertainment every Thursday at the Eli’s/Wright Farmers Market

Don’t miss Thursdays at Eli’s with our grilled lunch on the patio and
entertainment. Today Chef Antonio is grilling steak sandwiches.

Also today, we have a quartet from the Horner Park Jazz Band playing during
lunch. The entire group will be back at Eli’s for our Annual Eli’s Cheesecake
Festival.

Come support our lead farmers, Mick Klug of St. Joseph, Michigan and Nichols
Farm of Marengo, Illinois. Remember spend $5 in the market between 7 and 9am and
get a complimentary continental breakfast at the Eli’s Cafe. Such a deal!

Today we were also delighted to welcome our Ag Entrepreneurs from the Chicago
High School for Agricutural Sciences. This is the second summer that Eli’s,
Wright College and CHSAS have cooperated to host a summer internship program
funded by the Education to Careers Office of the Chicago Public Schools. During
the summer, the students work on the Farm at CHSAS, attend a weekly class at
Wright College, meet leading food entrepreneurs at Eli’s and tour local leading
companies in the food industry. Come over on a Thursday at noon and meet the
students.

Eli’s associates look forward to the lunch, music and camaraderie of
Thursdays on the patio.
