Eli’s Attends For the Love of Chocolate

Visit Eli’s at For the Love of Chocolate Annual Gala at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago! Live entertainment, sweet and savory chocolate cuisine from over 50 Chicago chefs (including Eli’s Chefs Diana Moles and Laurel Boger serving chocolate hazelnut pocket tarts), cocoa spa treatments and much more. For the Love of Chocolate Foundation provides scholarships for qualified students in the specialized training of the pastry arts.

Chef bios:

Chef Diana Moles, Vice President of Research and Development: Diana Moles has been a managerial pastry professional for twenty four years. As Vice President of Research and Development for Eli’s Cheesecakes, she has designed countless signature products, and provided customized product commercialization for Eli’s international customers. She was nominated for Pastry Chef of the year in 2010. Chef Moles began her pastry career as an apprentice with a European Bakery in the Chicago area. She completed her professional training at the American Institute of Baking and the Culinary Institute of America.

Executive Pastry Chef Laurel Boger: Chef Boger is the Executive Pastry Chef and creative research chef for The Eli’s Cheesecake Company. Aside from dazzling Eli’s customers with her delicious desserts, she is a veteran cake designer at Eli’s for production of giant cheesecakes served at corporate, entertainment and celebratory events. Laurel earned her Baking and Pastry Arts degree at Johnson and Wales University along with her BA from Michigan State University, apprenticed in Germany and established her own signature Bakery Café in East Lansing Michigan before joining the Eli’s team.

Eli’s Pastry Chefs Diana Moles and Laurel Boger participate in For the Love of Chocolate at the South Shore Cultural Center

Eli’s Pastry Chefs Diana Moles and Laurel Boger join other leading pastry chefs and the French Pastry School of the City Colleges of Chicago at the second annual “For Love of Chocolate” Benefit on Saturday, February 10th. Held at Chicago’s historic South Shore Cultural center, the event will raise funds for Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), a national non-profit organization which prepares high school students for college and careers in the hospitality industry.

Thank you Diana and Laurel for sharing your outstanding talent and Eli’s creations at this outstanding benefit to help students excel in the Culinary Arts.
