Eli’s Cheesecake a Featured Participant at the 2011 Chef’s BBQ Benefit for the Green City Market

Eli’s Executive Vice President, Jolene Worthington, and Corporate Executive Pastry Chef, Diana Moles were featured Chef’s at the 2011 Chef’s BBQ Benefit for the Green CIty Market held in Lincoln Park on Thursday, July 21st. Assisting Jolene and Diana at the Benefit were Eli’s Jennifer Doezie, Kathy Kirby, Juanita Chajon and Elana Schulman.

Over 2,000 people attended this Annual Benefit that provides much of the funds to underwrite the cost to operate this now year round Farmers Market.

Eli’s Maureen and Marc Schulman join their daughter, Elana, who is adding Klug’s Sour Cherries to Eli’s Goat’s Milk Cheesecake Wedge on Honey Oat Crumble.

10th Annual Green City Market Chef’s BBQ

Eli’s Cheesecake Supports the Green City Market Chefs’ Summer BBQ Festival

Jolene Worthington, Executive Vice President and Master Pastry
Chef, at Eli’s was a featured chef at the Green City Market Chefs’ Summer BBQ
Festival in LIncoln Park. Over 400 people enjoyed an evening in the Park with
food from 50 of Chicago’s top chefs.

Part of the Eli’s Team making the event possible was (L-R) Kathy
Kirby, Jennie Doezie, Eli’s Director of Product Development and Technical
Services,Diana Moles, Marc Schulman, Jolene Wortington and Eli’s Quality
Assurance Manager, Mike Tamez.

The offering by Eli’s Cheesecake was Eli”s Goat’s Milk
Cheesecake with “Bumble Berries” on Lemon Verbena Shortbread drizzled with
Farmstead Wildflower Honey from the Chicago High School for Agricultural
Sciences.

The Green City Market has developed a strong following of chefs
and consumers who take advantage of the wide range of offerings and education on
the Wednesday’s and Saturday’s of the Market that continues in Lincoln Park
through November.

The Summer BBQ Festival is known as one of the great parties of
the summer and Eli’s offerings were a huge hit.
