Thursday, July 28th, 2016 marked the first day of our 4-day celebration of National Cheesecake Cheesecake Day. Eli’s Cheesecake began it’s celebration with the annual Eli’s Mobile across from the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and next to Seneca Park, where President Marc Schulman and wife and Eli’s publicist Maureen, accompanied by associates handed out FREE single-serve cheesecakes to the public. Individuals were able to meet and greet our mascot, Big Eli’s Slice while listening to some fun cheesecake music. Below are some photos of people who were happy to take pictures with slice.
The next stop for the Eli’s Mobile was The Chicago History Museum. Here, Eli’s Cheesecake was able to provide single-serve cheesecakes to museum associates as well as families visiting the museum and people walking and driving by. Our stop at the CHM even led a Trolly to stop by.
After Eli’s Mobile, we headed out Monroe and Michigan Ave. and began the first ever Eli’s Scavenger Hunt. We posted via social media pictures with the hashtag #ElisScavengerHunt as clues to our location, in addition to a secret word that a person was required to say, and the first person to find us would win a prize.
Although handing out the remaining cheesecake slices from Eli’s Mobile was a success, we also had 4 winners of our scavenger hunt. Here are some photos from the remainder of the day. For us, this was an amazing opportunity. We are a company from Chicago and believe Chicagoans deserve a piece of cheesecake, especially during our celebration of National Cheesecake Day.
