Eli’s teams up with the Putting Edge to benefit the New Horizons Center

At the 2004 Eli’s Cheesecake Festival, our newest partner was the Putting
Edge, a glow in the dark indoor minature golf course that had opened just west
of us in the shopping center that includes our great customer, Borders Books and
Music.

As part of its committment of support to the Eli’s Cheesecake Festival and to
the New Horizons Center for the Developmentally Disabled, the Putting Edge is
hosting a benefit for New Horizons on Monday, February 7th. For a $12 donation
(all of which goes to New Horizons) you get golf, pizza, soft drinks and Eli’s
Cheesecake. What a great deal.

Thank you Putting Edge for coming to our community and helping raise funds
for the new New Horizons Center.

Eli’s Welcomes the Putting Edge to the Eli’s/Wright Neighborhood

One of the most exciting new entertainment concepts in North America is the
Putting Edge, a chain of 22 locations in Canada and the United States. The chain
started in Brampton, Ontario in 1995 and has grown rapidly because of its
attraction to both young adults and families.

We are delighted to have the third Putting Edge in the Chicago area located
one half mile west of us in Norridge, next to our great customer, Borders Books
and Music. This is a great stop for groups and families that visit our Eli’s
Cheesecake Cafe to extend the experience. Also we have great packages for
birthday parties that combine an Eli’s experience and golf.

To celebrate the opening of the Putting Edge, we created a very special golf
ball cheesecake. Our big cake maker, Martha Komoll, and her assistant, Elana,
worked long hours to create a ceremonial cake to be cut at the opening. Also
thanks to the Eli’s Team of Kari, Boris, Anna, Elana and Haley who catered the
grand opening party and served the giant golf ball.
