Ridgewood High School Art Club Brings a Touch of Spring to the Eli’s Cheesecake Bakery Cafe

Our thanks to the students in the Ridgewood High School Art Club and Advisor, Ms. Sarah Machaj, for helping get the Eli’s Cheesecake Bakery Cafe ready for Spring. Our windows now look colorful and festive. We thank these talented young people for their great work and dedication.

Eli’s Big Top is Up and Ready For the 2008 Season!

Spring has arrived in Chicago!

Today (with the hope that major snow storms will not return to Chicago), we erected Eli’s Big Top for the Season.

We look forward to using it for Lunches, Tours, Weekly Thursday Farmer’s Markets, the Annual Eli’s Cheesecake and many other Special Events.

Tribute to President Charles Guengerich of Wright College in the Elmhurst College Prospect (Spring 2005)

All of us at the Eli’s Cheesecake Company are very proud of our long term partnership with Wright College. For over 15 years, all of us at Eli’s have been fortunate to have Wright College as our educational partner and supporter. For the last eight years, this partnership has been even closer as we are fortunate to be part of the Wright Campus.

In the Spring issue of the Prospect, Elmhurst College gives well deserved recognition to Chuck Guengerich, the President of Wright. We are honored that the article starts on a walk over to Eli’s University—our on-site educational center with Wright. We couldn’t state our philosophy of education than the statement in the article that:

“When you think of higher learning in America, classes in the
backroom of a (literal) cheesecake bakery may not be what springs to mind. For
Guengerich, however, the classes at Eli’s go right to the heart of his college’s
particular mission. “We’re a community college,” he says. “We’re here to serve
the needs of the community.””
